Viser, tirer, coller

Goo Pop: Prof Goo’s Wobbly Bubble Shooter
Prof Goo has invented yet another machine he cannot control. It keeps spitting out Goos, the little jelly creatures who are Goobox’s mascots, and stacks them on the ceiling of his laboratory. Your job: take the cannon and pop them before they spill all the way down.
Goo Pop follows the bubble shooter recipe, but with soft, wobbly bubbles that quiver at every impact and a machine that never stops speeding up. There is no clock: the game lasts as long as you hold out.
Welcome to the laboratory
The screen looks like the workshop of a slightly mad scientist. At the bottom, Prof Goo stands by his cannon and reacts to everything: he fires along with you, and he clearly panics when the Goos get too close. On the right, a large gauge fills with slime. Up on the ceiling, yellow, red, grey, green and blue Goos wait in tight rows.
Goos are not just round balls. Hit one and it squashes, bounces and makes its neighbours shake like a jelly dessert. That little touch makes every shot a pleasure to watch.
Aim, fire, stick
- Click “Click to play”. Wait for “Get ready” and then “Go”: the cannon is unlocked.
- Move the mouse to turn the cannon. It never fires flat, always slightly upwards.
- Release the mouse button: the Goo flies off in the chosen direction.
- The Goo sticks to the first Goo it touches, or to the ceiling.
- If it forms a group of at least 3 Goos of the same colour, the whole group pops.
- The next Goo to fire is shown at the bottom left: check it before every shot.
The machine that pushes the Goos down
All the challenge of Goo Pop comes from the gauge on the right. It fills up by itself, whether you shoot or not. When it is full, the machine’s pipe springs into action and a new row of Goos appears on the ceiling. Every existing row moves down one step.
The first time, the gauge takes 25 seconds to fill. After that, each fill is about 10% quicker than the one before, down to a pace of barely 2 seconds. So a game starts calmly and grows more and more intense.
When the Goos get near the bottom, Prof Goo starts to panic: that is your alarm bell. If a Goo crosses the limit, whether after your shot or because of a new row, the game is over.
How the points add up
Every Goo you pop is worth 10 points. A group of 8 Goos or more triggers the “Great” message and counts double: 20 points per Goo.
There is better still. When a group pops, every Goo no longer connected to the ceiling drops into the bath at the bottom of the screen. Each of those fallen Goos is worth 20 points. Bringing down a big hanging cluster often earns much more than the group you actually hit.
The score is shown at the top right, and each gain appears for a moment above the popped Goos. To spin the wheel of fortune, you only need 3,000 points in one game: you then win cards for your Goobox album.
Playing off the walls
The sides of the playing area bounce the Goos back. An angled shot against the left or right wall lets you reach a group hidden behind other colours, or slip a Goo into a gap you cannot aim at directly.
To get a rebound right, picture the wall as a mirror: the Goo leaves at the same angle it arrived. Start with simple rebounds at a clear angle, then try finer shots once you feel comfortable.
On a touch screen it works the same way: put your finger down to aim, slide it to adjust, then lift it to fire.
Costly mistakes
- Firing too fast without checking the next Goo. Its colour is picked at random from the five, so sometimes you need to prepare a spot for it.
- Sticking lone Goos anywhere. Every shot that pops nothing adds a Goo to the wall, and the wall is already coming down on its own.
- Forgetting the sides. Goos piled up along the edges come down too and end up touching the limit.
- Only aiming at small groups near the bottom. It is better to cut the attachment of a cluster higher up and drop many Goos at once.
Your score against your friends
Below the game, a leaderboard gathers your best scores and your friends’, for the current week or since the start. If someone overtakes you, answer back with the “Challenge Friends!” button and invite them to do better.
Frequently asked questions
- Is there a time limit in Goo Pop?
- No. The game goes on as long as the Goos do not cross the limit at the bottom of the screen. The machine sets the pace by adding rows.
- How many Goo colours are there?
- Five: yellow, red, grey, green and blue. The colour of the next Goo is picked at random from these five.
- What does the “Great” message mean?
- It appears when you pop at least 8 Goos of the same colour with one shot. The points for that group are then doubled.
- Why do new rows arrive faster and faster?
- After each new row, the gauge fills about 10% faster. It starts at 25 seconds and can drop to 2 seconds.
- Why is Prof Goo getting agitated?
- He reacts when the Goos come close to the bottom of the screen. It is a warning: there is little room left before the game ends.
- How many points do I need for the wheel of fortune?
- 3,000 points in a single game. The wheel wins you collectible cards for the Goobox album.

Apunta, dispara, pega
Tu puntuación frente a tus amigos
- Cinco: amarillo, rojo, gris, verde y azul.
- ¿Qué significa el mensaje «Great»?

Benvenuto in laboratorio
Mira, spara, attacca
- Attaccare Goo isolati dove capita.
- Dimenticare i lati.
Domande frequenti
- Cinque: giallo, rosso, grigio, verde e blu.

- Einzelne Goos irgendwo ankleben.
- Was bedeutet die Meldung „Great“?
- Warum kommen neue Reihen immer schneller?
